Pastor Joe & Nicole Turner

Encounter Life Church was launched in 2015 by Pastor Joe and Lady Nicole Turner. After much prayer and consecration, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, they answered the call of GOD to shepherd HIS people. They served faithfully at various ministries, including In-House Pastors, Youth Pastors, and teachers. Together Pastor Joe & Lady Nicole have been in ministry for over 50 years.

Pastor Joe has dedicated his life to The LORD by giving to the Kingdom through preaching & teaching The Word of GOD, serving communion, men’s ministry, college campus ministry, outreach, cell groups, teaching catechism, administering baptism, church security, building & grounds maintenance, audio/visual ministry, and prison ministry. He also enjoys serving his community by coaching baseball and basketball.

Lady Nicole has cared for the body in various capacities as worship leader, outreach volunteer, women’s healing ministry, ministry to the hearing impaired, college campus ministry, intercessory leader, tutoring and mentoring to disadvantaged youth, catechism teacher, and leadership training.

The desire of Pastor Joe & Lady Nicole is for Encounter Life Church to be a multi-cultural, multi-generational place where people are free to worship, inspired to praise, and charged to change the world for the Kingdom of GOD. Pastor Joe & Lady Nicole have been married since 2002 and have two magnetic children, Joshua, and Gabrielle.

Mission

Our mission is to create a safe, welcoming space where people can encounter God through authentic worship, experience healing and freedom through the power of the Holy Spirit, and build a life rooted in Jesus Christ. We are dedicated to loving God wholeheartedly and loving people compassionately, cultivating a community that lives in liberty and reflects God’s Kingdom on earth (Galatians 5:1; Mark 12:30-31; Acts 2:42-47).

These statements reflect our commitment to creating an environment of freedom, support, and spiritual growth, where disciples are empowered to live out God’s call in every aspect of life. 

Vision

Encounter Life Church is a safe haven where all people can experience the transforming love of God, find freedom and liberty in Christ, and grow as fully devoted followers. Our vision is to welcome God’s presence, embody His love, and make disciples equipped to impact the world for His Kingdom (2 Corinthians 3:17; Matthew 28:19-20; John 13:34-35).
